Removal of tow hooks/bull bar
Removal of tow hooks/bull bar
Is there any way possible if you remove your tow hooks, to put them back in there? i got the back bolt in, but i cant thread the front one in. if i went with a bull bar, would me not being able to get the front screw in matter?
Im kinda confused? I thought you lose the tow hooks when you put on a bull bar? I also dont think the tow hooks would be of much use with only one bolt holding them to the frame?

I see...sounds like drilling out the bull bar for a socket would be a good idea, Maybe?
he's asking how to rebolt the tow hooks, not how to run them with a bull bar also
on the inner side of the frame rail there is a slot that is just big enough for your hand to fit into. loosen the back bolt just enough for it be barely engaged. then using one hand, reach inside that slot and push the bolt bar so that it aligns with the holes in the frame. thread in the front bolt. you may need a screwdriver to help align the holes while your pushing around with your hand
btw, when I installed my bull bar, I re-used the OEM bolts because they were alot more heavy duty than the stuff that came with the bar.
hope my explaination helps. I feel your pain. it took me about 5 minutes of fumbling to do it

okay, nix the whole finger part, just use a screwdriver and wiggle that back bolt around. you should be able to see the bolt hole line up if your careful and use a flashlight.
It can be done, just a little patience required
