So lately I have noticed the my rear suspension is making some noice. I don't know how to describe it best. I usually notice it when I am pulling out of driveway slowly. There is a little dip right as I get out of my drive and I can hear it there. Any ideas why, or what I can do to fix it?

Loose rivit/bolt or leaf springs rubbing on something.

I need to get under there and check my leafs. I have a feeling they are the culprits. Any other ideas? Would grease make a difference?

check your u-bolts. also sounds like it could be a u-joint by your description.

Is it a clank, a creeking in the suspension flex, sound like loose ujoints, etc? They all lead to different problems. Describe the sound as best you can.

Thanks for the help guys. When I am crawling into my driveway and the rear in flexing it sounds like the Titanic sinking. Not nearly as loud or as much but that is the best way to describe it when I drive slow. I really need to jack it up or have some else drive it. I don't think it is the u-joints, not certain but it seems too loud to be that. I am thinking the u-bolts.. I am going to go check those out. I noticed that my aal had a thin sheet of padding sliding out. Anyone know anything about that?

ive been dealing with this since I got my truck Ive gone to the extent of putting new leafs on (300$) and it came right back. ive found it is caused by the leafs binding on each other be it because of dirt in beteen them or because they are too dry. Every other week I jack my truck up by the frame and degrease them then put a light coat of wd on them it fixes it for about a week or so I ve tried everything to degrease with no lube to lube only I have yet to find a long term fix to this

Ethan thanks for the help. I had this happen when I first got my truck, apparently there was a tsb for this. The tsb fixed it for a good while, over a year now it is starting to do it again.

One thing that looks really weird are the little pads coming out on top of my aal. I wonder if those are the culprit. Have you tried real grease, I've heard that wd40 isn't very good since it is made from water so it will dry out. I hope it isn't the ujoints. What would those sound like? Is there any way to check? What other possible things could it be? Thanks for the help guys.

U joints clunks leafs creaks and moans their tsb was just for some wd like stuff sprayed in between them. As for grease i would think that would hold more grease then wd my problem is the wd attracts dirt and causes them to bind but being dry also causes them to bind. I did try some silcone spray but didnt notice a difference over wd

Is there anyway I can check to see if the u-joints are bad? I am pretty sure it the leafs. What else could it possibly be?

Try some PB Blaster GDL.

I tried trailer ball grease, and had no luck.

What does work is "Sea Foam Deep-Creep". It cured all my creaks and groans with the 1.5" aal I used to have. It is about 7 bucks at any auto parts store and really works well!

So I narrowed it down I think that my aal has shifted. That would explain why my pads between my aal are coming out. Any ideas or quick fixes besides disassembling everything?

how would it shift? there is 2 centre pins.
