Bak Flip question
Bak Flip question
I posted this in the bed liner section a few days ago but I didn't get any info from there.
I'm installing the Bak-Flip tomorrow and was wondering about the drain tubes. Will I need to remover my bed liner for this and/or drill? What have you guys done?
Thanks for any help.

I take it you have a drop in liner? if so you might just drill the bedliner, then run the tubes down to the black plugs in the corner of the front of the bed then just make a small cut and shove it thru.
Done. Had to trim the tailgate liner a little and up front where the two bolts run through and that was it. Like you said FX4life, just drilled a couple holes in the front there and popped the drain tubes right through. Piece of cake.

looks great! Thanks for the pics I was about to ask for some. .
How do you like it so far? and complaints about quality or anything else about it? Im considering this one pretty heavily to try and eek some better mpg's and lockable storage at school.

So far so good. I was having a problem w/one side locking without really pushing hard on it so I decided to wash the truck, have a beer, and then mess with it some more. I got that baby tweaked real good now. The locks just lock right in place w/no force what-so-ever. After that I had a few more brews and put her away. I'm happy w/it.
if you dont mind me askin, what made you feel the need for a bed cover? Also do you plan on riding with it blocking the rear window with your quad in the bed, or taking it out?

That's my story
I just started to unwrap mine to see what is in the box....
I haven't found the spacers they mentioned.
Did you need them on the 150? ('08, if that matters)
How were they packaged? Any chance I just missed them?
How thick are they?
Thanks!

I got mind from CargoGear. 625 to the door. Shipping wt on the panels was 65 Lbs. All around I was happy, but hope I really don't have missing parts that cause an issue. (Of course I don't have it on my truck yet..)
Yes you need the spacers. They are taped together and smaller than a deck of cards. They go on the top but inside the bed rails. The railing for the bakflip will be rotated up without the spacers.
Yes the bakflip is heavy. I dont know what it weighs, but its heavier than I expected. You can move it with one person, so its not all that bad.
