FYI

Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
Remove the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to Section 303-12 .
Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector.
CAUTION: Failure to remove the TP sensor screws in the following manner will result in damage to the screws. First loosen the screws 1-2 full turns using a hand tool and then use a suitable high speed driver to complete the removal.

Remove and discard the 2 screws and the TP sensor.
Installation

CAUTION: Do not reuse the TP sensor and screws. A new TP sensor and screws must be installed.

CAUTION: Do not use a high speed driver to install the new screws or damage to the TP sensor can occur.

NOTE: When installing the new TP sensor, make sure that the radial locator tab on the TP sensor is aligned with the radial locator hole on the throttle body.

Position the new TP sensor and install the 2 new screws.
Tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
Install the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to Section 303-12 .
Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .

I think the part # is 3L5E-9U515AA and cost around $60 but I'm pretty sure you could find it cheaper. This is for the 5.4, assuming that's what you have.

Well, disregard the past posts I made. Thought you had the 5.4. Just trying to help. Think you need to interpret the codes and go from there first, then man up to it and and then ask yourself, " What the hell was I doing when this happened?" What were you doing when "All hell broke loose" When you say, "light looks like tranmssion" How's that? Still think it's the Edge?

Well it looks like a trans to me. But its the check engine light. What I was doing was running about 5-10 mph over some small bumps, and then my truck stalls going up about a 5-6ft tall hill. Start my truck back up and get the codes. And you know the rest of the story. What I was doing at the time could have no way caused this to happen unless the f150s are built poorly. Ive gone alot faster over a lot bigger whoops and never had anything happen. Im just gonna try replacing the tp sensor and go from there. Hopefully that solves the problem.

Not sure, but have a look. Go to emission, fuel then emission parts and you will find the throttle position sensor. I belive the part # is 3L5E-9B989AA, but check it out before you order.
