I never cared for those roll up goofy type tonneaus. Not my style. I love my snuglid and never have to worry about it.

My bakflip is supposed to arrive at my work on the 20th. Possibly I can find some time this weekend to install it. Not the coolest mod in the world, but looking forward to enjoying the nearly $700 toy. I probably wont be back in that office until Friday. I may have to make a special trip just to pick it up because I cant wait for anything.

Bakflip arrived a day early. I couldnt wait, so I snuck out of work 1/2 hour early (not really I'm the boss and I am salary).I had the whole thing installed probably in 1 hour while talking with my dad and ocassionally stopping to keep my daughter out of the street. I was a little concerned about the lack of directions, but after I played with the pieces I could see it was very simple.

I didnt wet test it, but the fit is good. As posters have said, the rubber is a little buckled here and there, but I dont see why it wont clear up after a little heat either through the sun or a heat gun.

Thanks for all of the tips!

Just ordered my BakFlip from Cargogear.. (hopefully the Ford 150 Standard 6.5 foot bed is the right one for a Screw cab 6.5).. $636.00 to the door. I noticed a 'make me a deal' button with a 4 diget code number next to it.. knocked another 11.33 off it to be 625 and change final price.

Question.. How have folks run the drain tubes?

Quick aside... Many thanks to all here for the great info!!

Cheers,
4ofWands (Bob)

The 6.5 box on the SCAB and the SCREW are the same. That is the same one that I ordered. I looked up the part number on bak's website and ordered that one to ensure I was getting a G2.

Hopefully everything works out 4 u.

Looks good! got any more pics? Could you possibly snag one of the "flushness" of the tonneau with the bed rails, kind of looking dead even across the rail? if that makes sense, Im OCD and would rather it sat flush with the bedrails, kinda like invisible!

I'll try to get that shot for you tomorrow. Its proabably 3/8 inch higher than the rails, but I'll take an even one so you can see.

I think I am going to do a power locking tailgate modification in a couple of weeks. I just need to have everything done for early may. Considering a line-x as well. Had it on my superduty and it was great.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a tailgate sealer? I didnt order a kit, I'll search home depot and lowes to see what they have. Maybe even autozone or o'riely's. I saw some kits for $21 and I know thats not a bunch of money, but when you are looking at three pieces of rubber sealer, it is.

I think that most people wouldnt notice it if they walked by. It blends into the truck well. I'm tall so I can see it from a fair distance. You notice it in your review as well, but its not in the way like an ARE bedcap would be. With your truck being lifted, I'd say it would invisible unless you walked right up to the side of the truck.

I tried to take some pictures tonight, but its just too dark under my carport. When I get home from work tomorrow, I'll plan on snapping you a few.

I was really surprised how easy it is to install. Its pretty heavy, but you can remove it in about 2 minutes or less with nothing but your hands. With only a 5/8'th wrench you could take the entire thing out of the truck including the rails in less than 15 minutes.

Have a BakFlip G2 on my rig. Check out pics. The cover is solid, sleek, water-tight, gives me full access with ease and is just plain awesome. I can't think of one thing I don't dig about it!

Are these the pictures that you wanted? The wrinkles in the rubber will go out over time with the sun or you can heat gun them. Several people have posted that in their reviews.
