quick question. Have to tested the foam with resin yet? the last thing you want to happen is for it to melt before your eyes. Dupont makes a foam for this but its expensive.
another thing would be to go to your local art supply store and pick up a few blocks of clay to cover your base, the advantage is its easily plyable and you can really smooth it out if you want or emboss a logo etc rather easily versus covering with filler and sanding.

btw the console is slowly taking shape, alomar and jahwarrior saw it in person last night
i just finished the rear section and one side, i will start glassing as soon as i finish the other side
the line in the front matches the body line
