Black Headlights

Anyone bought a pair of these headlights from Ebay?? I know there probably no where near the quality, but i guess you could be surprised sometimes!

I would be concerned with leaks and discoloration of the lense.

With a proper amount of silicon, they could be sealed correctly with no leaks..

Let me know if you have them or just your thoughts!

I have black headlights from ebay. Bought them a few years back so im not sure if they are the exact same company as those in the link....but they look the same. They leaked all the time when it rained or i went through a carwash. The company swapped out the leaky light twice. Still leaked. So i took some all weather silicone caulk and went around the seems.....been a year now and no leaks since. I like them....now that they dont leak

Should be okay if you re-seal them. No idea on the quality of glass. May want to invest in some 3M film for them. Atleast when that gets messed up you can easily replace it. They make some specifically for our trucks.

I got mine from Sabersport on Ebay, and so far after pressure washing and driving in snow and rain they have not leaked. Mine were the ones with the clear corners, not amber.

I got some depo black headlights off ebay a couple of years ago and they ended up leaking and the lenses crazed. I ended up buying genuine Harley Davidson f150 headlights. No problems since.

If I were you, I would just get the Harley ones.
A majority of the quality of the light output comes from the design/quality of the reflector & lense setup in a light.
You will never get a quality set up w/ the cheap setups, even w/ switching out bulbs, etc.
Now, if on the other hand that doesn't concern you along w/ the moisture problem, then go w/ the ebay deals.
Just remember, you get what you pay for.
If I went w/ the ebay one's, I would go ahead & crack them open & put carbon fiber vinyl inside them then re-seal them.
Just all depends on the look you are going for & how much you want to spend on the quality.
Good luck.

Quality is my main concern... This is why i wanted to ask you guys who has had good luck vs. bad luck with ebay deals over the OEM Harley's... The money is not the issue, but if i can some dough over OEM and go with Ebayers then i just may..

I bought a set for a different vehicle a LONG time ago and they leaked, i got a replacement set, sealed them up and they were good...

I was also wondering about the output of the light. As mentioned above, the reflector material may be different or just not put out the same amount of light as OEM.

I've never been a fan of black headlights unless you have a black truck.
