Mirror Issue? Please Help!

My Dad has a 2004 F-150 with regular mirror. Yes, they are power but he has a very hard time hearing (because of the War) and sometimes leaves the turnsignal on while he is driving. I want to install the mirrors with the LED blinkers under the mirror so he can see when they are on. I really want to know if I install the new mirrors on his truck, will the LED's work or do I have to buy something else? Thanks Bryan

I have a set for sale, heat power and signal off my 06, I just upgraded to the towing mirrors yesterday. If they will work for your set up, which I don't have an answer for you send me a PM or email and let make a deal.

back in the 80's and 90's some Lincolns and Caddys had signals in the top of the back window so you could see in your rearview that the signals were still on (because the timers were so quiet)

I suppose they stopped it because many old people don't check their rearview mirrors.

That being said, what about a couple of small, red dash mounted lights (on top of the gauge pod)

At least then they are in his line of sight in case he doesn't check his side mirrors.

could you add a chime to the signals? i think if you tap into the green with stripe and white with blue stripe (something like that) or maybe your a key reminder chime, so its only on when your pa's got the signal on. should be a pretty cheap fix.

If the LED embeded mirrors don't work, I'll just have to do what the old cowboys used to do to their horses when they broke their leg!
