You seemed to understand what I wrote and said so why are you bothering me with the spelling and such? Last time I checked this was a public forum and you could do what you want and such as long as it is not breaking any of the forum rules. I am not hear to fight with any buddy. Just giving him another possibility on his situatuion of the matter. By the way I have an A in english and was in a hurry when typing. Sorry maybe next time I should take my time. Geez man you got my point what more do you possile want? All I am saying is if you can afford it and are gaining from the situation then I say go for it. It is your money, well his money and if he wants to buy a f350 and spend another 10K on lifting it with rims, tires and such and gain aother 1-2mpg in difference. I do not see a problem with it as long as he can afford it and it is what he wants not what others think or want. We are all here to state what we believe in and what we think is right or wrong in people's situations.

Quote: I plan on doing this once i get out of high school as then i will be able to afford it. Sure the f150 is nice and all but once you drive a diesel you dont wanna go back to a gasser again for a truck anyways.
Why do you need a diesel? What will the extra expense of a diesel do that a gasser won't for your situation? I had to ask.

I've driven both. A friend has a beauty of a 350 dually Screw, loaded to the tiits. It's a beautiful truck, no doubts, but it's too much for my needs. Oh, my F150 rides better as well.

You're right, this is a free and public forum. Regarding the "A" you got.....don't bank on that helping ya out in college. If the above post is any indication of what that "A" represents, you still have a ways to go....
Understanding what you wrote was arduous at best. I shouldn't have to read a post a dozen times very slowly to try and figure out what the poster was trying to say. I'm probably the only one here that would give you a hard time about stupid things like this, so don't sweat it.

I plan on getting a travel trailer to go to the dunes in so I am not camping at the dunes in a tent. Also the fact that I like to go to off-road races and watch and no better way to go then in style. also they fact that I love having a solid front axle up front as well as the truck being to two anything I put behind it.

As far as the whole school thing goes I am doing good as I am in the top 10 of my class of 431 students while mainting a full time job and part time job.

Damn this thread is brutal. I wonder what people think when they see me driving a loaded brand new 08 250 lariat crew cab and only being 25. Hmm...girls DO seem to loooooove it though!

yeah man, i agree, im 20 and ive got an 04 150 scab, and an 05 350 lariat, as well as a RHD 92 mazda rx7, although i think i need to get rid of a truck because i can only afford to put insurance on one truck at a time, another beauty of being young, no one beleives theyre mine! I usually get the.... what company do you work for? assuming the 350 is a company truck, haha, oh well thats the beauty of the oil industry!!

he works full time as a electrition, and just bought half of the business. he is making a little over 100k a year at 21 years old.
my parents pay for my schooling, i live at home until next year when i transfer. i will recieve a partial scholarship so school is pretty damn cheap. i work 25 hours a week at an accounting firm making $17 an hour. and i have a decent amount of money saved up for being 19.

Dont treat me like a spoiled a$$hole, this forum is about trucks not weather or not you're jealous of what i have and you dont.
You made his point for him. Mom & Dad foot most of the bill for your life, you make $17/hr and blow it all on trucks. His point was most people who work and support their own life won't treat a 30K vehicle that way. With age comes experience. A person living on their own can afford to buy and treat a vehicle like that, plus still live day-to-day on $17/hr. Plus, most kids can't afford 30K cars and 12K worth of accessories.

As for a 21 y/o making $100K... whatever happened to the days of training, internships, journeyman status, etc. All that never happened by 21; however, if it did for him then congrats, he is one of the few. Plus, at 21 buying a business while still having all the fancy toys means that you have gotten help from somewhere.

I have been around the block, and this has all taught me that 99% of people who have real jobs (and don't live at home/receive parental assistance) don't have toys like this. Those that do live at home or have mom & dad pay for school.

Making money and being well-off takes time. Expensive toys with all the fancy gizmos mean the money is not being saved, it is being spent.

To each his own, but this is why our country is debt happy and saving poor. In other words, this type of mentality has led to the credit crunch that our economy is under. Can I afford the payments vs. needs and actual realized costs.

I am not saying this is you, so please don't take offense to this reply, but this type of consumerism is a problem for our country.
