Well it was going to happen sooner or later...

I have been trying to get out off my truck for the past few months, forking out 1400 a month just wasn't worth it to me to keep the truck... payment (650) insurance(350) and gas(300) make up the huge debt hole I was in so I took a trip down to the good ole' ford dealership... Never thought much of the car I was looking at, didn't think I would like it... but took a test drive and I fell in love... It was used, but still an 07 and the deal they made was great.... Well... here she is... and no unfortunately it isn't a super duty... maybe when my financial situation is better I can step up to one... but this little lady fits me just right... Now if I could just squeeze some 35's under there...lol

Wow! A 650 payment is outrageous, I can't blame you at all! Mine was high at around 450 but luckily I was able to pay it off late last year.. And while my insurance isn't 350 (also crazy!) it is still hovering around 280/month for 3 vehicles - and I just got a ticket two Sundays ago (too fast for conditions) which won't make the renewal fun.

I actually got to drive one of those the other day and was quite impressed, at least you stayed in family!

Good luck with it and you'll have a truck again before you know it!

I must be, thus far, the only one who's driven an Edge [2008 SEL FWD] of very recent [for almost three days] and thought it was very, very ordinary.

Anyhow, good luck to you.... glad you stayed in the family.

You'll save some on gas, maybe a little on your payment, but are you really saving that much on insurance?

And out of curiosity, why is your insurance so high -- $350.00 a month?! I insure my F-150 for 6-months (good coverage, too) for a shade over $400.....???

nice new car. But damn the insurance WOW. I pay about $108 month for full coverage with $500 deductible. I do get some discounts cause I just got married and have 3 vehicles insured and am 29 yrs old. I feel you on the gas crunch, I spend about $200 per month in gas, so needless to say I try not to drive the truck as much but still put on a bout 1K/month.

Didn't you just trade in a '06 F-150 for your '07 F-150? Sure hope this one works out for you!

Wow I thought I was the only one paying 650 a month plus 350 for insurance. But I spend way more then 300 on gas a month. I'm 22 and its killing my fun but every time I get in my truck I dont think about how much its costing its only money and you only live once by the way that is a total soccer mom "CROSSOVER" and ford should be ashmed of themselfs lol

Everybody's situation is different. Location. Age, Driving record, etc etc. I actually like the Edge. Maybe not for me but overall I think its a nice looking vehicle.

I think some 35" KM2's would help it out a little. Suspension lifts might be hard to find for that thing though
