looks real nice both ways, but my vote goes for them installed. I'm kinda partial to white Screws with running boards

You could say I do too....lol

Ive had a lo-pro, small chest, and Im lookin to get one like tardmans now....kinda seems stupid to spend so much on toolboxes...

I agree with everyone who said they liked it off better. I'm not a big fan of running boards.

A friend of mine is deciding on a low-pro or over-the-rail toolbox... I keep telling him over-the-rail... less hassle.

Yeah, if I had your running boards they'd still be on my truck too. Those are the ones I really want, but I don't have the $$$ for them right now.

Well, the running boards you had on in the first place arent the best looking IMO. It does look better without the running boards, but if you wanted to put running boards back on it would have to be a nicer pair.

I think both are over the rail correct? or do you mean a lo-pro over the rail, or a lo-pro reg. size box?? both would be nice, i was just torn weather it was worth that small space under the box and the litte bit I gained on top, when I could have a "cavernous" box like tardman's...
