I have no experience with the Edge yet, but from what you siad about the intake sound.. the Edge must make the throttle plates open sooner (via drive by wire) through the reference signal of the pedal. This would make the engine ign advance sooner accordingly. (something you could actually do yourself if it were not DBW, I guess that is at least one reason why these tuners are so different)
I have been playing with the pedal on mine trying to get a feel of the DBW and trying to keep the advance curve up so the engine never lugs yet at the same time keeping the rpms low as possible. (fuel mpg)
I would like to see more technicals and write ups on experiences with these tuners. Also observations such as mine ^^ from owners. Seems like Edge purchasers are just usiing default settings, and 93 octane settings to max out power.
I guess if all the secrets of what the tuners actually do got out it would upset the ecosystem
the read outs are nice that is for sure

I updated my Edge when I first got it (about a year ago) before I installed it. I haven't updated it since and don't plan to. Why fix something that isn't broke? Mine has worked fine since day one so I'm leaving it alone.

Hey, nice sig K1NG, 'bout time we see what your truck looks like Wait until you get those Toyo's on 'er

That's 41 people who are wondering why you, Dufus, are not using the Search function to find this info - it's been discussed, with settings posted, hundreds of times already.

Just how big is the rock you are hiding under? Noticed you didn't know about the plug issue either. How The Fek is that possible ????

900+ posts .... hmmm ... WTF have you been doing ?????

I run 93 octane with edge custom settings. I average better fuel economy with the higher octane settings versus settings with lower octane. It all equals out in the wash.

My custom settings for level 3 running 93 octane:
Timing+1
WOT fuel 1.6
Shift pressure 1-2 +12, 2-3 +10, 3-4 +8
Standard shift points
max speed 110
max RPM 5650
WOT shift RPM 1-2 5250, 2-3 5250, 3-4 4800
Tire size 2521mm (265 70-17)

on a serious note tho im thinking of running this tomorrow....
timing default
WOT fuel 1.6
shift pressure 1-2 +8 2-3+8 3-4+5
WOT shift rpm 1-2@5250 2-3-@5250 3-4@4800
stock shift points
max rpm 5650
max speed ??
tires 2545mm (275/55/20)

i figure ill just test run it and tweak it from there....now to return to stock you just reset default settings right? also its fine to run this on 87 octane? thanks
