Truxx.com leveling kits

Whats up guyz new to f150, I just got my fx4 a month ago, 04 black fx4 screw all stock, i'm looking to get some new tires for it soon and if i'm going to spend the money might as well get some 35's, but what i was going to ask was has anyone heard or used truxx.com kits http://truxxx.com/ford_products/105035.htm a local shop here will install the kits and get it aligned for 500 after tax, is that resonable price?

that is the most expensive leveling kit i have ever seen!!!!!!!! and any more than 2.5"s is bad news without a subfame lift. look into auto spring $100 2.5" lift in front you can clear up to 35" tires. and install shouldnt be more than 100 bucks, or just install it yourself, a retard could put in a leveling kit.

Yea thats what i was thinking, do i need to lift the back at all to fit 35's, i'll prolly end up putting the kit on myself, also are the extended shocks for the front any good? I need to decide on tires, i was thinking mud grapplers or KM2's (35x12.5r18) on stock rims.

i have heard that mud grapplers wont fit because of there beafy sidewalls. the bigg nubbs that come of the sidwalls rub on the spindle. the only way you can run 35" tires with just a leveling kit is with the stock wheels backspacing or a wheel that is very close to the same backspacing. i think just about any tire will work in a 35 except mud grappler. and pluss mud grapplers suck.

2.5" leveling kit on the front is all you need if you're 4x4...4x2 need more work up front

you can fit 35" tires just fine on all 4 corners. depending on the tread style (M/T vs. A/T) you may need new rims with a wee bit more backspacing (pushing tires outward).

35" toyo M/T's fit my truck without rubbing whatsoever...I just had 1/4 to 1/2" of clearance between the tire sidewall and upper ball joint...so I passed...I don't have the $$$ to get new rims also

but damn if they didn't look amazing

A local shop wanted to sell me the Truxx 3" kit as well. It was way more then the AS Kit as well it was 3 times the price. I went with the AS 2" with 33" BFG AT's and couldn't be happier....unless I was allowed to get 20's....stupid wife.

A local shop wanted to sell me those as well. I ended up with the AS kit I believe off ebay.

I was afraid of installing myself but a buddy of mine and I installed in about 3 hours. 1st side took 2 hours 15 min second side about 45 min lol.

Great mod the truck looks much better with that and the 35s

There are plenty of guys running 35x12.50s on OEM rims with a leveling kit. The Mud Grapplers have an extremely large side lug, and it tends to rub on the control arms. Some guys are using wheel spacers for that application. I wouldn't think it would be safe.

The Truxx.com leveling kit is obscenely high priced, you would be far better off financially, and get as good, or better of a product by going with the Autospring kit.

If you are going to run aftermarket rims, you REALLY need to watch your rim width and backspacing, I am feeling okay, but not great about the concept of getting 35s on my truck, but I want to test mount them before committing to them. I know 305/70R17s will fit, but I want that extra 1" of tire...

07 FX4 2.5" autospring, did it myself not too difficult about 2.5 hours or so. No way would I have been able to clear 35's with a 20x10" rim.
