rain/back window/seat water marks
rain/back window/seat water marks
well after a long hard night of rain, i go out to my truck to go grab some lunch. i look at the back seat and notice that there is a water trail going down the middle of my seat and i get in the back and see that the passenger side rear headrest is pretty wet. i wipe my hand along the top of the roof on the inside near the window and it feels damp. I put finger where the window (straight glass) meets the roof and it is damp all along it. This is the factory glass and it came this way from factory so i know its covered under warranty, i was just wondering if anyone else has had this expierence and what was the outcome?

I had the same problem on my 2004 F150. If you want an easy and cheap fix, just get a tube of RTV sealant and put a bead around the 3rd Brake Light. The more expensive fix would be getting a Recon LED 3rd Brake Light which is much nicer than the factory stuff!!

Just an FYI, that gasket problem with the 3rd brake light only applied to the 2004's and possibly some of the 2005's. Ford then updated the gasket accordingly. It's still possible that this is gators241987's problem, it's not directly related to the TSB, etc. for the older trucks. Still, warranty will cover you regardless. Good luck.
