How does this deal sound?

05 FX4 5.4 6.5bed, black on black, 35K miles, power moonroof and SRW, spray in liner, etc. etc. $21,500

I talked to the dealer tonight and I offered 20K. They would give me $2500 on my 97 Expy EB 4X4 w/167k miles, and i'm putting down $7K. Their interest rates were kind of high so i'm going to check with my credit union, but they said they would be "competitive". Edmunds lists the dealer retail around what they're asking, and the trade in on my expy is ~$1500 also according to edmunds.

Think they'll go lower? Is 20K fair? I did a half *** test drive around the lot since it was just traded in and wasn't "cleared" or inspected or whatever. No major flaws, but it was dark out. interior was in great shape.

You're selling your truck DJH? Didn't you just get it rolling on 37s recently?

Here is something to compair the truck you are looking at with.

Almost 2 years ago I bought my 04 F150 FX4 SC, flareside with 29XXX miles, it has all the options including leather, flowthru console, towing package, ect (but doesn't have the power moon roof). I paid $19990. About 3 months ago the same dealership had a twin of my truck only an 05 with 35000 miles, there had 19500 on the window as their no haggle price.

i dont know about the differance in prce between the two, but i gave 18K for my 05 supercab lariat with a 5.4 and 65Kmi. 4x4, and a reg. bed. i got it from the dealer, that my dad had traded it in. i was pissed he traded it in, but i did help out my intrest rate. this was also over a year ago though. so i wold think they are making enough money off of it to come off that price a little.

Anything is for sell...

It's on a friends lot right now, just seeing if some deer hunter wants/needs it. Just testing the water, it's the right time to sell a 4x4 in MS. I want a solid front axle so bad...

PS, I’m sure missing it right now but the fox is getting me around…

thanks for the insight guys. i think i'll keep 20K OTD in the back of my mind as my highest and go from there. 19K sounds like a great price, but don't prices vary a bit from area to area? he worked all the numbers up for their asking price and i told him i was thinking 20K for the truck. what's a good line to take to start working that number lower?

I'm working on my Fox right now..That's why my truck is still not lifted. (I did just order some 5100s to put on top of the RIZE for 10" of lift. I'll probably go ahead and intall them myself...) Not sure where I'll go with it probably a supercharged 347. My buddy has a 347 stroker on his '90 coupe and it's MEAN.

Anyway back to the subject... Yes, buy it.

I would probably give you $2500 for your Epxy. Have you sold it yet?
