Fabtech users with rear AAL -

I was wasing if the rear ubolts that come with the fabtech lift are long enough to use an add-a-leaf with? you do you have to get longer u-bolts?

Also, if you are using a front 2" spacer on your fabtech, are you using a 2 1/2" add-a-leaf? what make?

thanks

They are not big enough for a 5" block + factory 2" block stacked, FYI. I have custom made u-bolts from Autospring.

I had the 2" block replaced with a 5" block and I had to get new U-bolts. The shop that did my install had them on hand so it was easy.

What are you talking about? He never said anything about stacking the 5" Block and 2" Block stacked?

I had to add a 4" aal from skyjacker to level out my truck with the 2.5 spacers.

How does it ride? Did you change out rear shocks?

It rides just a little bit stiffer not bad. The rear shocks are the fabtech shocks that came with the basic 6" fabtech kit.

Thump: In short, if the leaf packs add 2" to the ubolt, you're out of luck. Apparently it doesn't.

I used my same u-bolts with my 2" AAL. Also I would only do a 2" spacer on the front. You would only be about 1/2" lower in the rear.

I'm about a 1" or 1 1/4" lower in the rear.

Yea the truck is pretty much level if not maybe BARELY higher in the front but I think its level. But how ford made these trucks the wheel well is higher in the front than in the back so you can see more wheel well in the front but the truck still stands level. id like it when the wheel wells are equal so I am thinking about getting a 5" block.

I have a 5" block for sale Dave. Honestly, I was much happier when I finally leveled my rear.

I have an extra, it came with a set of coilovers I purchased. They come in the same box, as well as a diff skid plate, impact/strut bars, some hardware. Let me know if you're interested in any of this. I was going to put it all on ebay but would hold whatever this forum needs.

Now that I think of it I don't think I ever measured the block, but I'm pretty certain it's 5". I'll go check.

Yep, 5". I have the ubolts as well.
