I don't think that weight includes a full tank of gas. 1 gallon of gasoline equals 5.8 to 6.5 lbs, depending on the temperature of the gas.

I actually weighed my truck on a scale once, a Supercab 133 inch wheelbase 5.4 2wd by the way, and it was 5100lbs with 1/2 tank of fuel.

Almost any moving company or truck stop will have a certified scale. Even the State scales will, if they're not really busy, weigh your truck if asked nicely. Fill up the tank. go find a scale and then you'll know for sure!

5300 Lbs. for a 5.4L 4x2 supercab 6.5" bed absolutely filled to the brim with gas. Weighed on scales at the city dump and at the Co-op.

I have a reg cab SHORT bed, but a 4x4. I bet ours would be pretty even when you consider the wieght of your longer box probably matches closley to the wieght of my 4x4 stuff.

Anywho, mine, with 1/8th tank of gas, wieghed 5200 lbs. If it had a full tank it would probably be around 5300 lbs, or a little less.
I do have some heavy audio equipment...probably adds up to 150ish lbs (I cant remember exactley what I had in when I weighed it) so you could probably take that wieght off and be at 5150-5200lbs.
I bet your close to that.

These things are pigs.

I took some scrap metal to the junkyard last weekend. I think my tank was pretty much full, and my girlfriend was in the truck with me and probably about 100 lbs of stuff in the back seat.

2004 Supercab FX4 with 6.5' bed and probably around 30 gallons of gas in the tank and it weighed about 6000 lbs on the way out of the junk yard.

Crazy story about that trip - the scrap metal was from my girlfriend's house... about 160 lbs that was 95% steel (old gutters, old dishwasher). Since it was her metal, I let her go in to the office to cash in... when she came out she said they gave her 84 bucks for it... turns out the guy gave her the aluminum price for everything!
(next time I have some scrap metal, she is definitely going with me!)

I put my 05 FX4 with supercab on the scale with a FULL tank and it was 5700lbs almost on the dot, and thats with NO cargo, and no passengers.

Not to doubt you. But I thought Gasoline was heavier than water. 1 Gallon of water = 8lbs at sea level.

No sir. Water will sink in gasoline. My jetski fuel/water seperator works on this principle.
