Am I the only person here who fails to see what is so wrong with that exhaust? Remind me to never post pictures of my exhaust mods on here for fear that I would be chastised by some people with nothing better to do. So, to recap...don't post any pictures of exhaust mods unless they cost at least $500 and don't post any tuner mods unless they were done by Mike Troyer. The list of things we can discuss around here gets smaller every day.

Mine was pretty cheap too.

I can't stand up under my truck to get pics like you Captain. Congrats on the exhaust mods. I think it's stupid to go out and spend $500 on a cat-back exhaust just for 1 or 2 mandrel bends.. those bend might save you 1/10th horsepower... maybe.

I'm gonna re-do my exhaust again after winter..
I guess I should have just bought a $500 Cat-back and told my self I was happy. LOL

Straight pipes, ready to make any respectable truck sound like shizzit only one step above a ricer's fart can.

I never could understand why anyone would want to put such an exhaust like that on their truck. Do what you want to it, I'm just sayin'. Now for a GREAT sounding exhaust, spend some real money on a nice cam, headers, and some Thrush mufflers dumpin' out the side. Now you're talkin, but leave that candy @$$ stright pipes at home on Grandma's Rambler.

where's the logic? put a $100 exhaust on a $30,000+ truck?

There's more to those $500 exhaust systems then that. Something like the Magnaflow systems are made of stainless steel that will likely out last the truck. Compare that with how many times you'll spend that $100 replacing pipes everytime they rust out. If you live anywhere that sees winter and salt (like I do) conventional aluminized pipe has a very short life span, 3-4 years tops. Those high dollar exhaust have the added benefit of being tuned and tweaked to give the best sound, flow and performance for that specific vehicle, they look better too. $0.02

You can put on 5 systems at $100 a pop to get to the price of a $500 magnaflow, at 3 years for the lifespan for each one that is 15 years worth of exhausts...

I don't care for the out of the box stuff, and I like the exhaust on the truck in question. If nothing else at least the guy isn't afraid of doing something different, not just what everyone tries to pump into his head.

That's fine and dandy if you don't mind the down time of having the truck in the shop every 3 years for new pipes. I'd rather buy the stainless system and spend my time driving.
