I hauled a 30 foot Uhaul trailer full of everything in our old house. pulled it like a charm and really didn't sag that much!

Yeah thats a lowboy load with a semi usually.

Straight from the Cat site the weight of a D5G is (I'm guessing its a G)
Operating Weight - XL
19662 lb
8919 kg

Operating Weight - LGP
20434 lb

I'd say that you would be okay if you went slow over a short distance. Hard on a truck for sure though. I towed a 16000lb Link Belt track hoe with a F350 Diesel and even that was a good pull, and with a whole lot more truck then an F150.

I had a skid of 12"x12"x1" Patio Bricks in the bed. I think the count was 76 of them. Not sure on weight of them. The bump stops were about 1/2" from touching and truck was really squatting. Also had a 3000-3500lb trailer with a Bobcat B100 Backhoe which was almost 5800 lbs. Around 9300lbs. Truck was pissed to. Before the edge though.

Two sets of tire chains for a tractor trailer and 4 pails of chemical and two pails of oil is about the biggest load my truck has ever seen. Pretty sad thats the biggest load its ever hauled.

That's freakin' awesome. I'd seriously tow something like that. I know I wouldn't make it far... but who the heck cares... a F150 pulling a large construction bulldozer, priceless.

The only way I can see a 1/2 ton pull that is on a slope with the weight of the D5 pushing the truck. Even if the truck could get it rolling imagine stopping 25,000lbs. The F450 is only rated for 24,000lbs.

You can pull almost anything with a pick up. Probably not to good for the drive line but it can be done. I had to pull a our loaded Ford L9000 boom truck with a 2WD 1/2 ton 4.3 liter V-6 about 3 miles when the fuel gelled up in the lines. The L9000 weighs 35000# empty and with the load that was on it it probably weighed in at 45000#.

The only reason that miserable little chevy could pull it was the road was pretty flat. And it wasnt to happy with me either.

I do my best. I told the guy at the little station in town where I buy my fuel that I should get a bulk purchase discount for my monthly fuel purchases.
