Low Temp Thermostats

Anyone replace the stock thermostat with an aftermarket Low Temp Thermostat? Have you noticed any performance gains? What brand did you get? Looking at the Jet Low Temp Thermostat which is $15.

If you change from the stock thermostat, you will confuse the computer and will result in the wrong fuel mixture. I suspect the fuel mixture would be rich and you would burn more fuel and maybe foul up the plugs and/or the converter.

do a search on the subject. It has been pointed out that these newer engines need at least 195 degrees to be efficient and actually perform better at around 200 to 205.
