Goodbye My Friends, truck stolen, burned
Well, after coming home from dinner last night, I found my truck was gone. I called the police and insurance company to get the search started and went to work. This morning the P.D. called and said they thought they had found my truck, but could not be sure. I would need to come to the towing company and attempt to ID it. When I got there, I was in total shock. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

The bed on the stepside appeared to be fiberglass. What truly pisses me off, other than the fact they stole it, was they just went joyriding (I guess) and then burned it less than 10 miles from the house. As far as the chipped keys go, if they want it, they will get it.
I don't think I'll be getting another one right now. I absolutely loved my truck, but I rarely used it for a truck. It was handy for hauling and pulling the boat, but mostly it was just my commuter. Looks like I'll be riding the motorcycle full time for a bit.

OMG, that is a real bummer. I know that it turns my stomach so can't imagine what it did to you to see it like that. It is truly a shame that people do those kinda things. Make you wonder what our society is coming to. We all know that it is hard to get the insurance company to pay you the cost to replace it as it was. Good luck and hope they catch the perps who did this. They need to be strung up.

So those Bastards must of hot wired it in order to bypass the chip in the key? Sweet Baby Jesus, that could be one our trucks burned to the ground, sorry for the loss. I'm glad my alarm has a kill switch on it, but hell they can prob get pass that too.

Not trying to be a jerk, you just lost your truck but at least you have insurance. Just to be a thorn in your side and play the devils advocate:
I have learned how to get around PATS after tearing my ignition apart for a few hours, but it'd be very difficult to figure it out if you didn't own an F150 and tried it with a set of your own keys on your own ignition for trial and error reasons. If they stole it (especially for joyriding) I would think you left a set of keys somewhere...hopefully not intentionally (not implying, just saying). I just know these trucks are very difficult to steal compared to a car without PATS, takes a little more than tapping into the starter/ignition wire, stealing a truck like this is brought on by superstition, not likelihood.
