Rubber Molding Fadding

I have an 04 Scab and the black rubber molding that runs along the bottom side of the windows on the outside of the truck is fading a considerable amount. I have tried a few products that are suppose to fix this problem, but nothing I have tried has worked. Can you guys think of anything that you think would fix it? It looks really bad and if I cant get it to look any better I suppose I will have to swap them out for new ones.

Have you tried the silicon sprays made for rubber? They do help, especially keeping rubber pliable.

Yeah thats the first thing that I used, the rubber is not drying out or anything, it just looks bad.

One thing you might try is armor-all makes a cleaner. It usually does pretty good on everything from dash to carpet. Have even take a grease stain out of a carpet with it.
Was one of the products you tried Mother's Back to Black. if not, try it.

Same situation with mine. Mine are even getting a little hard and non-porous (sp?). They dont' absorb any rubber conditioner anymore, not even 303 AP (which still works great for my door handles and bed caps)... But they're still sealing just fine, they just don't look too great.

try mothers back-to-black, make sure to scrub it off though, it may not look as good when soaked with the stuff, but you dont want it to run onto your paint

it works. It's like lotion. It takes regular applications though..

The problem with using Armor All is if it rains, or if the weather gets real dewey the water that runs onto the paint takes the armor all with it down the side of the truck and it streaks.

yeah the back to black also runs taking some blackish scuzz all down your paint, trust me though, apply the back to black and than scrub it off with a clean towel till nothing can come off, then your good

i've said it twice and i'll say it again. get 303. it works. it lasts. it doesn't run if you let it set up for more than a day.
