Wow! Thats an awful amount of gross negligence on part of the trailer owner.

Sounds like you 'came up' on a new truck, you're lucky in more than one way =]

Well someone was definitely lookin out for you cause that very easily could have been a lot worse.

I am not for frivolous lawsuits by any means but sometime you have to hit them where it hurts to teach them a lesson. Don't sell yourself short. Get a Lawyer immediately. Good luck. Post pics of the carnage and your new truck.

I'm glad you're OK. The truck can be replaced, you can't.

Yes I have some pics of the wreck but I will hav 2 get them scanned and put on here. I am just curious tho...I am 20 and have never had to deal with anything like this (lawsuits, accidents, etc.) what do you all think would be too low, or about right to settle/ask for? I owe $23,500 on the truck b/c like i said I have not even paid the first payment or anything. Any lawyers or people that have been in this situation on here that could give me some advice? The insurance company of the company whose trailer it was sound as if they are going to do the right thing, they already got me a rental truck which I thought was fairly good and quick...BUT it is a freakin POS 2008 silverado, i figure there should probably be some type of pain and suffering for having to drive that around as well haha

Glad to hear you are relatively okay. I am going to chime in the chourus for hating frivolous law suits, but that company, and the nitwit driver need to be hit in the wallet HARD...

Heal up, then worry about the truck...

Go to the doctor and find out whats wrong with you and if you will have problems in the future. As for the truck, go after there insurence co. and demand full replacement. Dont settle for less.

Sue the Buggers!

Flame all you want, but get an attorney and sue them for as much as possible.

You should pay one penny in medical bills. Get a complete exam on that leg -- strange things can happen after trauma.

You should not pay one penny for your truck, any rentals you'll need for work, towing, etc....

Being nice will only get you screwed. AGAIN!

You did not ask for this, and you certainly don't deserve it.
