Got the Royal Purple, its going in tonight. I talked with the gear shop about the whine and after reading a lot here I found I should be using 75 140 I asked them what they put in and they put in 85 90
I said thats not even the old oil, thats wrong all together, they said its all they have ever used in rear ends, mind you this is a class 8 truck shop. So tonight will be the test if the new oil helps my whine. Ill post back

Nope RP didnt do anything. My whine isnt that bad and is only around 50mph, should I worry about it? The shop that did them was doing a favor for me so I feel bad telling them I have a whine and need a new gear set. what do you guys think? complain or get some 37 inch mud graps and have the sound fade in with the tire sound?
