They always did the job, but the finish on these looks pretty bad after a few months.
This time I tried one I found on eBay that appears to be a much better built product.

It cost $90 for those 2 pieces and I paid extra for them to provide the stainless braided lines built to my length specifications.

Purolator is also good stuff.

I believe the Motorcraft filters are made by Purolator.

Purolator is good, so is Luberfiner ......Wix is top notch....... I use
Motorcraft on MY Fords too.
I used NAPA Gold (made by WIX I think) for a year or so because they are good and Wally World had discontinued all Motorcraft stuff for a while back then. WW brought MC back and I started buying MC filters there for less than $4 versus $5-6 at NAPA. When I went in for cam phaser and lifter warranty work a year ago I had a MC filter on which they noted on the paperwork. No questions asked.
I think the next time I change my oil, I'll cut one of the TG FRAM's in half to see what's lurking inside.
I see FRAM got tore up on Wikipedia, but the author can't site any sources to his claims.
FRAM has worked for me for 20 years+. So has Motorcraft (well Autolite in the old days). No need to worry about it.
