Well I figured I would enter this debate....

I currently live in hot, humid katy texas. I finally made myself take a vacation and I brought my g/f out to Santa Monica California to stay with her father. He lives on broadway and 10th street in an older but beautiful apartment. The high yesterday I beleive was 76 degrees with a cool 5mph breeze all day. I can look over their nice size 250sqft patio and see hotties walking. The ferrari's, porches, lambo's driving by every now and then. Saying to myself, man it would be nice to live here.

Then I come back to reality. His 2 bedroom, 1400 sqft apartment(including patio) is costing him nearly $3000 a month. The extra storage room downstairs next to his two $100 a month parking spaces in the garage is another $200. His place never gets dark with all the street lights. Bumbs ask for change whereever you go. Amongst all the beautiful people is fat, raunchy folks that shouldnt be seen without jeans and a long sleeve shirt, yet are wearing nothing but a man thong. Gas and grocery prices are outragous, and the super strict motor laws. Let's also not forget all the damn TRAFFIC.

Then I think about back where I live. It's hot and humid yes and the weather sucks for most of the year. I do have slight traffic at certain times of the day, but I can drive 10 miles and wont see a car but every few minutes. I can do pretty much whatever I want to do to my vehicles and not worry about all the BS laws cali has. My beautiful new 2400sqft house with currently a 2 car garage(adding a "shop" next year) sitting on .5 acre is only costing me $1200 a month(which I think is still outragous compared to where I grew up). Solutions to the weather problem? I bought a porta cooler for my 600sqft rear porch to keep it cool during the summer. Solutions to seeing the hottie problem.. Internet + 50" plasma TV. So when I sit down and think about the most practical and logical place to live. Texas wins.

SHHHHH! The last thing we need is a bunch of Cali-freaks minglin' with our hillbilly girls. We'd end up with a bunch of rednecks that want to surf the creek out of the hollers. LOL

Yea but in Florida your house can get blown away overnight by a hurricane! Its always muggy and I hate it. I used to live in Homestead, and Palm beach for a little bit and I was miserable.

Granted you all are talking about LA which sucks anyway, I live in San Diego where its always chill. Yes there are some fatties that should NOT be wearing anything less than a trench coat but most of the girls are amazing. Yes they're snoody little ***** bags most of the time, once they see the truck they usually come around.

LOL this is a hilarious post. Sucks for the tickets bro...Im in Cali and I dont see many people getting tickets with similar setups to you (other than when its rainy season). One of my friends has a 10" lift on his Cheby and has this fugly mud flap contraption he attaches to his hitch to cover the rear tires.

When its summer, off it goes and all is well with no tickets.

As far as state battling going on...I love Cali. Ive lived here all my life and dont know anything else. Ive been to a few places, but no where really in the Midwest or East. Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Florida...

My choice...Cali. Florida was next in line...Hawaii if it wasnt alone in the water. I need a large part of land just for security in case of Tsunamis. Cali has it all...or at least is close enough for EVERYTHING. Like mentioned before...Snow, Sun, Desert, Beach, Surfin, Off-Roading, etc...its all within driving distance. Im sure all the states have nice things to offer...for me, Im fine where I am. So I hear Texas has some hotties though!!!!

One thing Cali has that can be disasterous are EARTHQUAKES...not nearly as frequent and powerful as Hurricanes as other states have. When the big one does hit...Im actually scared for that.

Oh well, the entire state is going to fall off into the ocean one of these days anyway. Then the rest of the country will be rid of the over-acting, leather skinned, silicone injected prom queens.

At least we know when a hurricane is coming and can leave. I will take that over an unexpected earthquake ANY day. I've been to Commiefornia, and the beaches have NOTHING on the beach here in the Panhandle. You can not find sand this white anywhere in CA.

I do love the juice that comes from Napa, RR valley, Alexander, etc. Can't grow grapes very well in FL
