You'd actually be surprised. Thousands of people from California seem to be invading Texas. 
I'm building a new house, and probably every third family is moving in from California (no joke!). Same with other friends who have built houses. If Cali is so great, why are you guys moving here!? 
All kidding aside, I know it's because people are selling their house they just made $500k on and paying cash for "mansions" (compared to what you are used to) in Texas. I'd probably do the same if I was in ya'lls shoes. Cali is great, but I love and will stick with Texas.

Did we forget, we all live in the SAME country. We should be looking at all the great things that AMERICA has to offer not just arguing about what state is better or who has what, we need to be focused on more important things, like this is one of the only countries that has this sweet truck called the F-150! Seriously though, cant we all just get along, the only thing that really seperates texas from cali or florida or any other state is a couple of imaginary lines and a stupid mud flap/fender law
