Yeah, I fly in and out of Cali every few trips or so...And you put it best. Definitely not somewhere I'd wanna live, but it's pretty cool. I love the south!

What's up with the bashing on Cali? . You guys must be thinking of SOCAL . The only thing they have are nice sand dunes. NOCAL is the best.

It's the goofy a&& laws that come from the S.F. and points south types... Ruined the state, and are infecting places like Oregon and Washington.

the term "NOCAL" is not something we should be using afaik, it's for those who favor SOCAL, NORCAL is the term. I'll be moving to the polluted SOCAL one day, hopefully SD.

I've been to at least half the states in this country and I've yet to find a more suitable place for an upbeat lifestyle and/or laid back just minutes away (haven't been to NY yet!), I find the burdening laws not so burdening when Tornadoes are never a concern. You can find just about any state's equal atmosphere you want in Cali.

Cali can be quite expensive but you can attribute that to being an hour from everything (beach, lakes, snow, mountains, infamous big cities, attractions, historic landmarks, etc) and the beautiful weather. Hate the lifestyle or laws, if anything. It's quite a diverse state, and tons of beautiful people. I'm no salesman, just sharing the experience.

What a shame pessimism is, this state is an easy avenue to hating.

I'd like to go visit Cali... but probably not live there... heck, I can barely afford NY... and their stupid taxes and laws...... it's sooooo gay how these States/America works sometimes.
