I think the Volant is the only dry other than factory.

. . and wouldn't it be a good idea to get a custom tune for any intake?

So is a custom tune required or recommended? Will the truck start throwing codes if I dont get a custom tune. It seems like a lot of people are running intakes without custom tuning.

I had the Edge on LVL3 with the S&B and my A/F was 12.4 but of course where you live is going to greatly affect that. I'd give a tuner a call. VMP, Bama, or Troyer.

Volant all the way, S/B looks the same but know nothing about.. Volant has a good sound n noticable power with SCT Xcal2 and magnaflow exhaust, I dont even check it but clean it about twice a year n its never extreamly dirty but i drive pave roads with alot of road work in FL

throw you truck on some stocks and see whoes intake chokes cause ill be when in front... My personal oppion is that the volant n s&b are premium cold air intakes not chrome heat collector tube and engine heat air sucking through the motor but i could be wrong maybe is good to suck 160+ degree air into a hard working motor
