I didn't get an alignment. I went to get one and the machine said it was pretty much right on. I've got about 7 K on my AS 2.5 and no abnormal wear what so ever on my nitto terra grapplers. I guess I am one of the lucky ones

Just chiming in here.
2.5" Autospring, 5 miles between where the install was done, and the alignment done. 25K on the level and alignment, no unusual wear on the tires.

Hey, I'm that ugly guy that didn't have his truck allined after he installed the leveling kit. Gone 3000 plus so far w/ no issues. Hoping that the tires would wear out so I could justify buying new ones... Oh well.

I'd go have it checked elsewhere. A lot of places have free alignment checks. Worth your time.

For eveyone else. You HAVE to get your alignment redone. It will destroy your tires after time. The BFG 305's or any quality tire are too expensive of tires to not spend the $45 on an alignment. It'll help the suspension and steering issues that the OP had mentioned.

$45?? I was quoted $180 for alignment, including my employee discount. Where can I get a cheap alignment?

My truck had a pull to the right from the factory, took it in to the dealer and they checked it but it still pulled. Had the Daystar installed and added new wheels and tires, had it re-aligned and has been tracking great ever since. No excessive tire wear either. Have to agree the leveling kit does effect the way the truck handles, but only slightly.

When I got my alignment the total came to $100+tax. $12.50 to mount and balance each wheel, it would have been free if I bought the tires from them butI got a great deal on Ebay, and the alignment it self was $50. I got mine done at the local shop in town, just a small mom and pop tire/alignment shop.

Thats what all the Ford dealerships around here charge, as well as most of the misc shops. Some of them maybe another $15.

Put on a set of bilsteins at the +1 setting and a new set of michelins. Even with the 1 inch it still needed to be realigned. The alignment was perfect before the lift and I got 52,000+ on the stock bfg's, I hope to get as much with the michelins. Fortunately my buddy has an align machine and I can do my own anytime I need, and be as fussy as I want. 06flamefx4 it sounds like they never spent the few seconds to center the wheel before the fixed the alignment, or they didn't take the time to set both sides and just did one to set the total toe.

Getting my bilsteins installed today. I know I'll need an alignment, but if it's not "too bad" I'm going to use that to my advantage and where out my stock tires. That way the wife won't argue when I have to get new tires instead of want to get new tires.

Anywhere but where you work apparently. $45.00 is pretty low ball, but then again, it is just front wheel alignment. With the leaf sprung solid rear axle, it's not like there's a lot for them to align out back is there?

Just remember, what happens, or is said on the net, STAYS on the net... Google archives can come back and bite you in the tail...

Hope your wife is computer illiterate.

Take it back to the alignment shop. That is part of the alignment. They got it off. How bad is it? If it's a degree or two don't plan on ever getting much better, but if it's 10 or so degrees off, get them to fix it...

And PawPaw, and the others that noticed a change in ride and handling. Can you describe it? Mine didn't seem to change other than it definately felt taller. But then again I don't corner the truck like I do my Saturn...
