Look what the UPS man is bringing me on Thursday...

Just sold my Kenwood DDX-7015 with Nav and I picked up this:

I am also getting XM, iPod controller, and the PAC steering wheel control adaptor. Can't wait - its getting installed on Saturday. Will definitely take some good pics.

Also, for those who want to know....I got everything for just under $950. Here is the breakdown.

XM Controller - normally $99, Crutchfield had it on sale for $49
AVIC-D3 - $815 from SoundDomain
Pioneer iPod controller - $28 from SoundDomain
PAC SWI-PS - $54 from SoundDomain
Wiring harness - $10 from SoundDomain

When ordering from SoundDomain shop around and find the lowest price you can, and they will match it or beat it. They have some stipulations (must be in stock, and they must be a certified retailer). But I sent them some matching requests for items not from certified retailers and they come back with a good price (example - AVIC-D3 is normally $949 on their site!)

Just about everyone will do that . . . except Crutchfield.

Congratulations on your purchase.

However, I would own a Kenwood B4 a Pioneer any day of the week.

I would rather have the kenwood over a pioneer any day, hell I can still remember when pioneer was just a shade better than spark-o-matic.

I've got a kenwood right now... worst head unit I have ever owned besides a clarion. The pioneer I had was the best. Great choice!

Thats the head unit I was looking into for my truck. I like that it has a volume **** rather then some small little button or a touch screen volume control.

I like the updated graphics, the volume ****, the xm and ipod interface. It may not be right for everyone, but its right for me. I am excited!

Trust me, I had the Kenwood DDX7015 in my truck and replaced it with the D3, the Pioneer blows away the Kenwood in all aspects and is priced lower. The Kenwood was a nice HU but this is better plain and simple.

My last truck had a Kenwood and used it for 180,000 miles. Not a single problem and it's still working fine for the new owner. The truck before that had a cheapo Pioneer. Used it in that truck for 250,000 miles. Both make good products. Sometimes you just get a bad one no matter what brand you buy.
