4.6 vs 5.4 Again

My truck shuts off at 100 according to the speedometer 100.7 according to my GPS.
Damn 5.4L...I should have gotten the faster, more powerful 4.6, maybe then I could worry about how fast I can go in my four wheel drive truck.

That'll be me in the blue truck in your rear view. Too bad we don't have a flat stretch of road more than a mile long. Seriously though, I'm no aero engineer, but if I recall correctly aerodynamics start to really affect a vehicle @ 130mph. With that said and the lack of aero styling of our trucks, pushing one of these big heavy blocks through the air at 120 upwards would really require a ton of HP to break the wind barrier, even with the mrirrors folded in. A lowered truck might have a slightly easier time at this due to less air drag underneath, but I doubt it'll be much advantage. At 85-90 my wipers and hood shake so bad I have no desire to push it further.
Probably not my place to be talking but the only reason I skipped right past the 4.6 and got a 5.4 was for the shear fact that I would be towing. Not really worried about any racing if i was I wouldn't get an f150 to race?? Kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me, but the 5.4 defiantly more of a beast towing wise than the 4.6 and thats all I'm worried about.
If you ask me its more personal preference. Ask yourself what you will be doing with the truck. Then decide your self which works out better.

My 4.6 has the silencer removed, SI/DO Imco elite muffler, and a K&N filter, thats it. My truck is also a Scab with the 5.5' bed. Maybe it is a liitle lighter than the Screw, but I expected a noticable difference in acceleration and didn't see it.

It wobbles between conscious thought and stupidity... The thread genesis that we're seeing here isn't unique but, it isn't entirely off-base either.
Really only one or two have been buffoons... Should've removed one of them from the site and gave him a pass --- and didn't even get a return PM after letting him know that most people get perm-banned for behavior that he demonstrated. I was feeling generous on that one... it won't happen twice for him.
