Unhappy well, shoot. WRECK

so I didn't think I had enough to deal with lately so I decided to wreck the truck saturday night. my fault, appx 35-40 mph. no injuries to me, no air bags- the dodge neon, eh not so hot. pictures aren't that great, but It's all I've got. truck's currently on the frame-rack. should get the news this afternoon.
go ahead and guess the number- will update tonight.

Wow, that's a healthy amount of damage. What happen? If I had to guess I'd say your frames bent since the cab is buldging out some on the other side.

Good luck getting back on the road

from initial looks, the frame seems square they say... the impact was mainly on the cab--so they think that the cab bolts are sheared/bent giving that 2-3" left shove

my personal opinion says the frame is tweaked.

new truck would be nice, but man I'll take a hit in dep. if they total it-might be downgrading if thats the case, not to mention my 'legal' proceedings now

Tell the insurance company you are worried about "deminished resale value"
Because of Carfax the Truck will be worth nothing.. Even if the body shop does a great job.

Seems like everyone on here has been in a wreck lately. It seems as though a week doesn't go by that someone isn't posting that they were in a wreck. At least you were alright after the accident. These trucks really are tough and the cabs always seem to be in relatively good shape (no major crushing like some other manuf. trucks seem to end up with).

just over 12,000 i bet! been there done this! except the other guy ran a stop sign in a kia mini van! If they tell you any less tell them to go back and look gain! there gonna need the whole side of a truck and floor only way to get those parts to fix it! along with new doors fender rims tires bumper frame pulling not to mention your dash has moved im sure then they have to reset yoru cab since i gaurantee it has moved (mine did) new cab mounts! list goes on and on!

Well the most important thing is you were not hurt.. Sucks about the truck since yours was one of my favorite on the board.

Damn man, that sucks. I liked that truck too!

When you said Dodge Neon I expected the bumper to have a dent in it or something, not that

Balog, wow man, that sucks big time. I've always liked your truck and it was somewhat of an inspiration in my decision to get a black FX4 supercab when I placed my order back in April of 2005. Good to here that there were no injuries, and good luck in gettin her back on the road. Looks repairable, but it will def. need a rocker and the floor pulled, along with the obvious door damage. Other than that, realign the cab and it should be good to go.

I had a friend that bought a 2000 F150 a few years ago with similar damage, and his cab was also pushed out 2-3 inches. His frame was fine, all it needed was the cab pulled back and new cab mount bolts. He replaced his rocker and was able to pull the floor out, so the damage was not that bad to deal with. His truck was totalled when he bought it, but the front wheel was also hit hard enough to bent the control arms and shove the front CV joint into the front diff. Its hard to tell from the pics, but it doesn't look like your front wheel was hit that bad (definately hit though).

I say about $5,000.....maybe $6,000. The insurance company is going to love this one.
