As much as I don't want to say it, since I have always really liked your truck, it would probably be best to total it.

Sorry man.....

hahaha... i saw that down in GD the reason I'm veering away from the truck was that this truck was top notch--it had everything I wanted, and if I got back into a new F150, I would have to go with a lesser model--and to be honest, I think I'd be disappointed- I'd rather switch to something I can't compare to keep my mind off of it if you know what I'm saying?

right now, my dealer who sold me the truck is crunching major numbers and has made a pretty decent offer on the 2008 Escape-- which could be a plus assuming troyer can re-map my xc2 to the new engine. too bad I cant squeeze my 35's in there!!

why can't you get another truck? I understand car notes are painful, but that's alot of residual money. Just doing some basic math and, you owe ~8,000 and they're giving you 25,400...so rounding to make it easier, you have 17,000 left over...plus all the goodies you had installed that will flop into another f-150

and that still leaves you ~7,000 to play with (bills, gas, lift kit, S/C)

say you only took a little over half, 10,000...that is serious money to put as down payment on a truck...you could get a FX4 premo (about $30,000 with negotiation) and drop the $10k...say $20-23k out the door for an essentially loaded 2007 is a wicked deal. average credit will get you a payment from $350-$450 a month at that pricing. Good or better credit will get you <$350 a month

please don't get an escape...I guess though it is a Ford...

I agree with Tylus, total it take the extra money and buy a new truck that's what I did and it was a good thing. Don't get the Escape. My wife drives a Mercury Mariner (which is the Escape upgraded to a Mercury, you know wood trim, sunroof, Etc.) and I just don't care about driving it after driving the F150. There is no leg room and when your 6'1" that's a lot to keep in mind. The only good thing about it is the gas mileage (yet the wife says it cost to much to fill up and I tell her well top of my tank a few times and you won't complain) anyway total and get a new truck.

I would say total it, get as many of your mods off it and see what your dealer can do for you on getting something to replace it with. If you have ~18,000 left from the payout take a bit of time and shop around. I found my truck locally through an online search engine. Might have to look around a bit to find something near perfect but it can be done.

Right not my home town seems to have dealership lots bursting at the seems with trucks they want to unload.

New truck + any saveable old mods should give you a good head start on being back where you were.
