looking to order 2 HID kits off of Ebay this weekend and need a few opinions on what color for the fogs.

I plan on getting a H13 Hi/Lo Bi-Xenon HID kit at 4300K for the headlights. The whitest light u can get...i hate the blue tint. As far as the fogs...i plan on getting the 4300K for the fogs to match, or a 3000K Yellow HID kit. I know yellow will work better for fogs, but ny opinions on which will look better on the red truck.

One more question...the fogs i would get would be a 9005 type bulb, but isnt the actual buld for our fogs 9145? if so, they do offer a Yellow HID kit in the 9145 bulb listed here..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3000K...ayphotohosting

I say 4300K will look good. If you want to add yellow fogs just save your money and go with reg bulbs. I have 5K hid's and yellow bulbs in the fogs, kinda getting bored with the yellows tho. If I was going to buy hids again I would go with the 4300K. I may be adding 4300K in the fogs.

Im with Tuff, I say 4300K Will look the best if I buy HID bulbs again thats what im going with. Tuff I thought that was you but didn't think you had yellow bulbs in the fogs thats what made me think it was someone else. This was back when i lived across the Exp.

It may had been me? I don't always run with the fogs on. What kits are you running? 8k??

Yeah I had 8k's when I lived over there but when I moved to Edinburg I bought 10k's. Why? I have no idea.... I hate em now! The blue gets annoying real fast. I've already spent to much money on HID's I think im gonna go Silverstars as soon as one goes out. Pm me later if you get a chance wanna see how the calipers went.

Don't hold me too it but I'm pretty sure the fogs run a 9145 Blub like you said.

I'm running 6000k HIDs on my truck and I like them, they are far more white then blue, and fairly powerful.

What size HID bulb did u buy for your fogs? Did u get the bi-xenon for the headlights?

After seeing your truck i am def. going with 4300K, 6000K is way to blue tint for me.

9145 is a fog light bulb and 9005 is a driving light they project different light patterns.

You are basing your decision on color? I hope you realize the lower the K, the brighter the light output is..

Im running 6k and love it...loved it so much, I ended up getting some for my car too.

Thats funny, those DO NOT look like 6K's there WAY to blue. They look exactly like mine and I have 10K's, They look good though dont get me wrong, maybe its the camera....

I got 6ks and they look almost identical..I love the 6ks....They're bright and have a nice tint to them....bad thing is that one of my fogs went out tonight on the way home...gotta check it out tomorrow after work..

well, i want bright white...pure white. and the best pure white i can come across is 4300K right?

Correct, 4300K will be the most white without the blue tint. Real HIDs are 4300, I'm almost positive.

On a side note, those do look like 6,000K . . 10,000Ks look more blue/purple.
