Trip to the Lake Pix

Someone asked for some pics of how I have to load'em in after I mentioned how I do this everytime I go to the lake. I walk out to check for drops and then back her in until the ski floats off. To load'em we just ride'em into the bed. The truck is running the entire time, of course.

The only reason I do this is I don't have a trailer for the ski's yet, standups sure are fun but you can't get above a 95 or so because they no longer make them in California.

A couple shots are of my new dog, he's 12 weeks now and growing strong. He has an awesome personality and is spoiled rotten. One last one. Those are HID lights in the headlights, they're in the fogs too I just don't always turn them on.

New Hogan Lake in Northern California. There is a hidden spot there where you can go cliff jumping if you're into that. The guy in the pics I was with has 2 standups as well, and he towed it up there with his new Nissan Titan Crewcab LE. It's 2wd and I haven't had a chance to size it up against my truck but I will and let you guys know. I really dig the Titan, I just do not like the dash area. I dont know how we kept the truck out of all the pics but it happened.

My old boss has a stand-up ski and it's a 2004. I know he bought it in California too.... weird.

Thanks for the responses guys. And Chris, I'm not sure how he did that as I have not found a single standup past a 1995 model in 3 months on craigslist. Are you sure he bought it in Cali?

Do you think that might hurt the truck? I haven't had good luck with getting my vehicles wet like that. Just a thought.

as long as the motor is running. I'd be worried about shorting out the tailights and getting water in the rear diff, gas tank...also, the water comes past your rear door sill. how is the carpet holding up?

looks pretty cool though

Check out that link J...

And yes, I am sure he got it in Cali, I went with him to pick it up.

I think they do not sell 2 stroke models anymore after December 2006 (or maybe it's '05) but I know of no restriction on a standup versus a multi-passenger ski.

Tylus, it's possible but I sealed my diff myself when putting in Royal Purple, so I'm pretty confident it seals well. The diff breathers are raised enough as well. As for the gas tank I am not sure but I'd like to think that it is sealed protecting that liquid gold it holds

And Chris, I heard the 800sx came out in 03 and there was a large gap where standups were no longer made here. I can't even find an 03+ 800sx on craigslist. Maybe someone can clear this up.

Haha...well thats one way to do it. I've helped load them with my friend before by just picking them up. With two people they really aren't to bad to lift. They are some pretty cool machines. He races them and does some demos here and there at wakeboard comps. Now I just need to work on my riding! :-)
