8 in. Rize w/ King Shocks
8 in. Rize w/ King Shocks
Alright so heres the deal... in the next month or two i am gonna be getting the rize 8 inch lift... on top of that ill have a 2.5 spacer in the front and 4 inch add a leaf in the back so i can clear some 39.5x16.50r20... and later on this year i want to do the king coilover setup with some piggybacks in the rear... so with that setup in mind ... how much travel on the king reservoir shocks am i going to need?.... ive been looking at the king 2.5 12" travel with remote reservoir... so if yall could help me out that would be grrreat!
and also would it be a good idea to throw a body lift on top of all that?... i figure since im driving 5 hours away to get all of this put on that i wouldnt want to make that trip again and pay for all the extra labor.
I don't think you'll need the 3" body lift depending on the backspacing of your wheels. According to ALL4FORD he's got no rubbing with basically the same set-up so take his advice. King makes a coilover and rear shock designed for use with the Rize kit, call them up and they'll take care of you.
I hope this helps!

My brother is looking to lift is dodge 2500 and is looking for a good deal, let me know if you know of something in our area... And PLEASE show pics of your set up when you get done, that is going to be slick! You might as well throw the body lift on top of that and go with some 40's or 41's.
its out in mcallen,tx ... Truck Toyz... I just want to make sure they know what there doing... and they install rize lifts all the time... yeah I will deff post some pics... ill do some before and afters for yall... haha yeah 41's would be nice but that would be pushing it... I dont want to break anything or have to replace a bunch of stuff considering I will still be taking it offroading on occasion.
This is just my opinion but anything bigger than 38s and definately 40s is too big on a IFS suspension.
I can't wait to see what your truck looks like. If you can find out how much Truck Toyz is going to charge you for the Kings front and rear. If its a good deal you can tell them they have another set to send out!

Who knows? Every shop tells me that they don't make money on Kings and can't do anything with the price but I find that VERY hard to believe. I know there are quite a few members who would like Kings on their Rize set-ups.

The best place to purchase shocks as well as advice is www.downsouthmotorsports.com, ask for Sonny and tell him Albert sent you and he will do you right. He will beat anyones price and ships for free. Good luck the truck is going to be sick, but you need a regear because it won't move with that big of a tire. I agree with Thump the ifs is not designed to handle such a large tire but you can always go solid later.
