i thought it was a separate module for the one touch down feature. back when i owned my Cobra and frequented the Mustang forums, los of people would add a one touch down feature to the other switch for the pass. window.

I havent looked at those yet but I do know how to take them out from othere posts on changing them to the lariat controls. But I dont know what kind of lights are in there yet. Ill probably take a looka t those next week.

highridin4x4 Hey Zachespo Leds look good. I have a ? since you have had the switchs apart Is there anyway to replace the passenger switches with driver window switches with auto down ?

Scott
The drivers auto down switch it enirely different from all of the other switches. In that pic I posted earlier about the lights you can see the drivers window switch is the black one. It has like a metal clip on it with some extra contacts on it for the auto down feature. I have an extra drivers side switch setup that I can play with and not worry about screwing up, so I might tear deeper in to that one and see what makes the drivers window different.

I was just asking because the switches look the same from the outside. If you find a way to do it I would be intersted.

Probably more than your willing to pay. Haha. Ya I have always been into takin things apart and puttin them back together or moding them. There have been times when I've screwed things up but it was worht it in the end. I have even screwed up a couple of things on this project like my gear selector and my window lock switch. The selector im still trying to figure out how to fix and the switch thing was a 70 dollar mistake.

hey Styx

I took apart the steering wheel controls today to see what had to be done, the only way they are going to be able to be changed are with SMT leds because there is not enough romm back there for the 3mm ones I have. So I am going to order some of those.

Here are the removal steps, I don't have any pics though. I just looked at a thread about removing the switches and I guess I didn't do it right. I reomoved the airbag so I could see what I had to do to get them out but then I just pulled the face of the switches off to get into them instead of taking them all the way out. This works but you will break a little aligning pin off of each side. The alighning pin had a little metal ring on it that stopped it from being pulled out easily. The switches went back together fine though so im not too worried about it. Here is a thread with pics on how to remove the cntrols the right way. Im sure if you take the controls all the way out you could take the metal ring off the aligning pin.

Removal of Steering Wheel and Controls

Well its been a little while since I posted updates but I just finished up my headlight switch and adjustable pedal switch both of which I don't have pics of yet, but I also started in on my A/C controls which are about 3/4 of the way done. I would have finished them tonigth but I am going to have to get some PLCC 2 SMT leds to finish it. I put 3mm leds every where I could in there but there are a few places where they won't fit. So here are the pics of that.

Sorry for the crappy camera phone pics. I will get better ones tomorrow night.

The way I have mine is: from my alarm remote I can hold the aux button and have my windows go up, down or vent without me being in the truck. Another thing that is does is all four windows are one touch down and up (cool but sometimes suks, like in rain and hittin it by accident all the way down, not cool lol). I have a Viper 2way pager alarm with the window mod, as soon as I talk to my installer I will ask him what kind it is (not all have the one touch feature) I will post it in a new post when I find out more info.. By the way the blue is a awesome mod, have to get myself a old window swith to test it on
