Latest Unwanted Mod... :(

Yep... the bug got me too...

Coming home from work, a lady was coming south on Las Vegas BLVD and was going into the entrance of the Sahara hotel... I'm crusing going 40 or 45 in the Far right North Bound lane... she crosses traffic and stops two feet in the road to let pedestrians pass... I slam on the breaks pull hard to the left and my tire caught her bumper and ripped it completely off... I drew a semi diagram so you can see... Cop cited her since i had no stop sign and she was suppose to make sure she was clear before crossing the street... Thing that pisses me off about the whole thing... Accident happened at 4.25 called 911 at 4.30 after calling BF (Honey I need you to help me fix a flat...haha) Called 911 at 4.30 and guess what freaking time they got there... 5.45pm... mother ****ers You know if i would have said that I was hurt they would have been there in two seconds... I actually called the 311 number and then 911 again after waiting and the dispatcher goes, "It looks like they are busy with an injury accident, and if no one else calls your next" wahoopty freaking do! Well I called the insurance company thinking the accident was my fault the whole time and gave them all the info, then come to find out its her fault... So don't know if the insurance will go up... hope not... But I am okay... just shaken up... Drove like a grandma home as people were passing me all crazy, just kept shaking my head...

All in all minimal damage:

New Tire, Rim, Lower Bumper, and most likely alignment... my tpms came on but that'll go off once the new tire and rim go back on...

And now for the pics Notice the size of the chunk of tire missing... oh and her missing bumper lol... I'm glad i was in my truck... my jetta would have been totalled probably....

Wow, that sucks. I'm glad you're okay though.

I think you need both the upper and lower bumpers, as well maybe even that fender flare.

Whatever I can get from her insurance, hope its legit... I was even nice to her thinking it was my fault and was going to comp her a stay at my hotel... but i still might... Just relieved its not going on my insurance as an at fault accident

Sorry to hear of your accident. That sucks! To many people on the roads that shouldn't be allowed to have licenses! Anyway, now may be a good time to get new larger tires!!!! Do I see a set of 33's in your immediate future?????

That sucks but at least you got away without being hurt and with minimal damage it looks like. Best of luck in getting everything fixed.
