Any "GOOD" tuner can make a tune, does not matter if it is a break-in tune or not without creating detonation at top end.

Thanks God my engine and tune was built by JDM and not a GREEN HORN tuner which makes break in tunes that produce detonation at top end !!

I don't want to pay $350 for a tow truck Drew. Anyway there is a very good transmission shop close to me that can handle any kind of performance transmission work.

Well, the triple plate TC is coming from Greg's hands and the new tranny that sits at JDM came from Jasper. I am pretty sure that Greg's 3 plate TC will do the job now but if the transmission breaks again i am pretty sure that Gregg will step up and build one for me himself. He won't like paying for labor 3 times !

Pay the 350$

Anyway i am not worried, Gregg Evans (Factory Tech's owner) is taking care of me as a son and he will ship me a 3 plate torque converter especially built for my truck. I won't use the PI anymore.

I will have to send someone to JDM to bring me the new Monster Box tranny that is sitting there for 2 weeks and get it installed here in Philadelphia as i can't drive to there with 1st and 2nd gear only.(70 miles from home)

When all of this is finished then i will take the truck to JDM to install the new lower pulley and get another 150rwhp/250rwtq with a new street tune.
Your time, paying for pick up, aggravation, etc. will cost more than the $350

Drew i appreciate you attention but:

1) I don't have a money tree,
2) the transmission shop that i will use is especialized in Ford transmissions for 30 years and everytime i need them the owner is the one who works on my truck.

Thanks anyway.

The absolute void of mechanical background by most of the members here never fails to amaze me.

<><><><><><><> !!! ATTENTION !!! <><><><><><><><><>

If you don’t have any experience or knowledge on a topic, please don’t add your two cent for it shows how little you truly know.

Anyone who knows ANYTHING about a motor which was built for power would know that it can go full tilt from day one. Do you honestly think that Top Fuel, Pro Street or any other racing class actually “breaks in” their motors when they put them together? Let me answer this for you ….NO. They go together, warm up and instantly see 8000+RPM at full load.

If JDM did their job, Rafa should be fine.

well we don't rebuild are engines every week / every race in some cases, the break-in period is good if some things is wrong you will hear it before the engine lets go and does a lot more damage.
good luck Rafa your truck is awesome

That's funny.
I think my total break in was 100 miles! Started it,let warm up,change the oil.Drive it at varying RPMs.never for long high rpms. After 100 miles change the oil and have been running the **** out of it ever since!

Engine break in period is almost done.
Rafa,
sorry to here about the tranny. I know Gregg stands behind his work but just remember. Don't you have to pay to have a new one put in each time it gos out? Not to mention the down time. You could be out having fun.
