Question Bad battery?????

On my 04 scab when I use my remote to lock the doors the headlights and fog lights used to flash. Then the headlights stopped flashing and only the fogs flashed. Now last night the fogs quit flashing and only the parking lights, turn signals, flash. I am thinking that the truck knows that the battery is going bad. What do you guys think???? BTW the truck has the original battery in it.

If the bat is bad I am going to go with a optima, should I go with the red or yellow top??

I think it has to do with what your truck light switch is set too. With my light switch set to off only the parking lights flash, with my light switch set on auto setting the parking lights and headlights flash. When I have the auto setting on with switch pulled out for fogs all three will flash.

I thought that too, but I leave my lights in the auto w/fog lamps on all the time. Would a bad switch cause this then??

red for normal use, yellow if you got a massive stereo system installed.

Not sure about the lights, I never paid that close of attention. Might just stop at autozone and have them check the battery for you.

If the battery is so low your lights can't even flash I highly doubt you would be able to start your truck. I would suspect something other than the battery, but getting it checked is quick and free, so it wouldn't hurt.
