Opinions on White Letters: IN or OUT?

I'm probably about to bite the bullet and buy some 305/65/18 BfG''s. I’m looking for a consensus on the white letters. Should I put them on the inside or the outside? They going on the factory rims of my black 2004 FX4.

I wish mine were in. Less to have to worry about cleaning. And I'm not a fan of the white lettering anyway. Takes me back to the 70's and 80's when raised white letter tires were all the rage.

If you want to take the time to clean them... I say white letters out. BFG's are the only tire I've ever had that way and probably the only tire I would suggest white out. PITA but looks sharp.

Mine are currently white out and they are a PITA to keep white. I am probably going with black out once I get new tires.

I am a fan of raised white letters if its a brand name tire, BFG's Goodyear etc.
BUT, I have BFG's on my truck and the disc brake dust makes them almost black in about 3-4 days. Not worth the work in my opinion.

White in. My letters get all chewed up with white out due to the terrain I drive in, so white in keeps them looking good longer.
