Mobil 1 and K&N... And if your the type of person that i am which listen's to the cars engine with diffrent oils you will notice mobil 1 syn runs quieter and smoother.

I dont think i could ever trust a shop to replace my oil. Especially ever since back in 02 my freind took his old F-150 to a nationwide chain and they gave him the car back without oil. Needless to say his car's engine didnt get too far down the street.

. . and, your point would be? Please enlighten me. .

Ford suggests 5,000 miles on the blend Motorcraft oil. BMW suggests 10,000 miles on their full synthetic.

Mobile 1 EP (15k oil) Wix Filter. I am testing right now and I just changed my oil at 10k without a mid lube filter change and the lab report came back perfect and easily could have kept going. I have the same set up again and am going to take it to 15 without a filter change and see.

They are far from good, hell they are even far from decent.

Most notice a lot of valvetrain noise at start up due to the lack of a good anti-drainback filter. I know I did when I used one on my 2004 F-150.

Amsoil is the ONLY way to go for synthetics, you can be guarenteed that their 100% synthetic is really, 100% synthetic. You can justify the price if you want the absolute best, which really isn't that much more expensive.

They have a 0W-20 out now versus their previous XL series 5W-20, which I am unsure if it was really a full synthetic.

Their filters are great too, made to the same specs as the Motorcraft FL820s (which is really made by Purolator I believe), with the addition the Amsoil oil filters have is a synthetic media.

Actually had a Wal-Mart car guy get mad at me a while back. Told him Motorcraft only. He came back and told me all he had was Fram. I told him "then pull my truck back out of the bay, I don't want anything that says Fram on it anywhere near my truck." He was all of a sudden furious that I would let him install a fram. I guess that's what he uses.
