When I bought mine, they didn't verify it... At time of purchase, I had 33,xxx miles on it. I received the contract with my mileage pre-filled in... But that brings up a good point - what's preventing someong that has, say 37,000 miles to just tell them that you have 35,xxx ???

A little word of warning about this website.

This is NOT Ford. This is a Ford Dealer (Lombard Ford, somewhere).

The thing is, some state laws have warrantys regulated (such as mine), and purchasing and pricing is regulated. In my state, prices are fixed and non-negotiable. Furthermore, it is against the law to sell warranties to someone in Florida either on-line or over the phone.

If you actually go to Ford's ESP website they tell you this. A dealer told me this, as I was trying to negotiate, I did not believe him until I looked several places and found this out myself.

It is a little disingenuous if you are in any way associated with this company to be posting this stuff, as this is NOT Ford.

"Please note: Due to state regulations, California, Florida and Washington residents are not eligible to purchase service contracts on the Internet. 2007 plans are not yet available in Alabama, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Wisconsin. 2006 plans may be purchased through this website in these states. For more information regarding the purchase of Ford ESP, call 800-367-3377 or contact any Ford or Lincoln Mercury Dealership."

Wow, this is the first time I've heard any such thing... I just bought one from them a few months back. Does that mean that my ESP is not in effect? What can I do to confirm/verify? Now I'm getting a little nervous.
