Need some opinions

Since I am about to get my truck lifted and put some 35's on I was thinking about getting some Bushwacker Pocket Style fender flares and was thinking about leaving them unpainted. Since my truck is black do you think that'll look alright or should I pay the extra and just have them painted?

I was also thinking about going with the ATS flares because I can have them custom painted to match for about the same price as the pocket style flares unpainted.

Opinions?

IMO, have a flat black unpainted flares on a gloss black truck is a poor choice. I t will stand out like a sore thumb, but IDK. I am still new to the truck scene

I don't particuly like the pocket style flares, but thats my opinion. Another option would be some OEM flares from an FX4 or Lariat. I know where you can get a set of FX4 flares in excellent shape for cheap (hint...hint)

The FX4 or Lariat flares don't stick out very far do they? I need something that's going to stick out and protect my paint after my wheel/tire upgrade.

It depends on where your truck goes. I go down a lot of gravel roads and enjoy going through mud whenever I can so there's no point in painting them if the paint is gonna get chipped. I guess on the other side of that would be what's the point of getting them if you don't expect for rocks and such to be coming up at the sides so why paint them. I easily get more comments on my fender flares than anything on my truck which includes the lift kit and they're mat black.

You mean the Bushwacker ones right? You like them better than the ATS ones? Reason I am kinda of leaning towards the ATS ones is I can get them customed painted to match at the factory so I don't have to worry about finding someone local to do it for twice the price.

Do you know where I can get the pocket style or extend-a-fender style ones already painted? I have looked all over the net and can fond the ATS ones, but that's about it.

Did some more internet searching tonight and found a site http://www.f150store.com/Shop/ViewPr...&PlateTypeID=1 Where I can get the BW posket style flares for $380.90 including shipping. That's the best price I can find them for. Really thinking about getting them because I think on the lifted trucks (mine gets lifted on Thursday) the smooth ones just don't look as good as the pocket style.

Anyone know about how much it would cost to paint them?

I still like these Fender Flares because they look OEM....Stick out about 3" so plenty of tire coverage...They are pricey but look awesome on our trucks... These or ATS are in my future after the lift... They can be found at www.autoaccessory4u.com for 370.00

Those don't look bad at all and they stick out further than anyones I have seen yet. Maybe I need to reconsider smooth ones after all. If I go smooth though I will probably go with the ATS bwecause I can get them already painted to match from the factory for $430. My truck will be a concrete warrior and maybe an occassional gravel road, but no offroading so I am really looking to protect it from the dirt and grime of the roadways that show up so well on black trucks. Also to enhance the overall look of the truck as well.

DTheobold-
Do you happen to know what kind of grille that is on that truck? I have a silver FX4 and I think that grille would look good on mine as well!
