Loudest exhaust on a 2006 4.6L

Well my truck is in the shop still.... I sure do miss the ole f-150.

I was thinking, when I get it back I want to change up the exhaust. I know this topic has been beat to death but I was unable to find much information dealing with exhaust on the 4.6l.

Right now I have a Flowmaster 40 series dumped SISO under the bed with a 3'' tip. This is not loud enough for me. The exhaust set up sounds louder at 2k rpm's than at Wide open throttle.

Help!

I thought about going with the side exhaust look (lightning style) but I am not sure what the loudest combination would be. No mufflers legal in Texas?

How does Texas do its emissions test?

Try running your duals out the back or the side with some big long tips on it, that'll make it louder... Or, an IMCO extreme would be louder...

At the legit places they'll check for mufflers and cats. Also if you get pulled over, the cops (especially DPS troopers) will check too.

My truck will pass a visual check... If you don't have any emissions testing/sniffers, then just gut your cats...

How do you guys think this setup would sound:

IMCO muffler with lightning style exit with 2 chrome tips.

Basically I want the exit in front of the passenger tire to look like this:

What size IMCO muffler would I need to order, and would the muffler shop have the correct tips to achieve this look?

Oh no doubt you can pass visual with gutted cats and dummy mufflers but what I meant was if they're not there in the first place.....like was mentioned with no cats, no mufflers.

You'd want the IMCO Extreme muffler, 3" IN, 2.5" Dual Out. And any muffler shop will have a WIDE selection of tips.
