I run 315/70/17 BFG's w/3.73 and was getting 11.5-12 mpg before changing to 4.56's now I average 15.5-16.5 mpg. Around town I never checked mileage.

has any one been able to get back to their stock mileage or better after adding tires and gears?

Stock I was getting 13.5 to 14 MPG around town, I don't do much highway driving. I just put on 285/75R16 and the Superchips. Now I am getting 15 MPG. I have 3.31's and I am turning much lower RPM's and I don't seem to have lost any power. Not that I notice anyway. I don't really have a heavy foot though, I usually have my 4 month old son with me, so I try to drive responsibly with him...... I probably won't even do a gear swap unless putting my quad in the truck makes a significant difference. I am really surprised with the gas mileage. I have gone through 3 tanks since the swap and its been 15 each time.

I haven't seen any NOTICEABLE decrease in mileage with my 33s....However I am finally going to lift my truck and put 35s on soon so we will have to see what happens!!
