nitto tire pressure

Anyone with Nitto TG's, what tire pressure are you running? The Nitto website says max load for my size is 80psi, but that seems a little high. I've got 285/65/18's btw.

Good question! I never checked mine. I just take it to Discount tire to have them rotate and balance them. I figured they would set it right. Then again, my truck only has 12,000 miles on it and those are my summer tires.

Those are load range E tires. I would run them at about 50.

295/70/17 Nitto TG and I have mine with 55psi. Tire store had them at 35psi when mounted but they felt way to soft and too much side roll. 55psi rides a little rigid but it suits my driving.

I run my 325/60/18 at 40 psi front and 35 rear when running empty. But when I am towing I pump the rears up to 50-60psi depending on what I am either towing or hauling. I have never had to pump mine up to 65psi.

I don't have the Nitto's, but the **** Cepek site says a good starting point is 70% of Max PSI. They say to put the truck on level ground and deflate until you have an even contact patch on the road surface. For me that was 40 PSI vs the stock 35 PSI that Ford recommended with the stock tires.
