Gas mileage/Power decrease with 33" or 35" tires

Hey guys im debating on weather to get a 33" or 35" tire. How much of a difference in your power and gas mileage did you notice after adding bigger tires

Havn't had my 33"s too long. However, so far I've seemed to have lost between 1 and 0.5 mpg. at 35" I did see a decrease in power. Edge on level 2 fixed it for the most part. The largest change that I've seen is the ride is quite a bit more rough than it was before.

i may have asked you before, but are you running a spacer kit in the front?

i like the stance a lot, just curious about the clearance for those tires

I have 33/12.5/17 ProComp All Terrains and my gas mileage is about 12 city / 14 highway. Nasty!

When running my 325/60/18 (33X13X18) I average about 1 mpg less on all highway and 1.5-2 mpg less city driving, compared to running my stock 275/65/18's

IMO, i believe that you will lose more MPG in town than you would if you do alot of highway driving. It wont be very significant though, maybe 2mpg at most.

It depends, at the top of the post he said that he has 325/65/18's (35X13) and another spot he said 325/60/18 (33X13).

Mileage readings depends on how the speedometer is calibrated. If it is done correctly after a larger tire size change, the mileage will go down. More tire surface on the ground, means more drag, which means more fuel usage.

What tire size should I put in for my tires? 33x12.5x17

I have changed the edge to reflect it but it doesn't seem like the speedo is correct?

I tried 2631mm, but I don't think that's correct. I had about 15mpg on my first tank using 2631 for the tire size.

I used the mile markers on the interstate and my odometer was reading about 2-3 tenths more than the mile markers over 7 miles.

I used 2510mm to get my speedo back in line. It now reads within .2 mph of my gps.
