Until someone can show me that oil does in fact NOT pass thru current paper or fiber filters then I'll save my $200.. http://www.gopurepower.com/store/ite...=8400&dia=true.

On the other hand, it does look pretty cool, and maybe the "coolness" factor is worth close to $200..

For $200 I can buy 40+ MC FL-820S filters, or 120,000 miles worth. Not interested.

if it actually performs better than a paper filter, to me, it's worth the $200. it's not the fact that you "save money" by not having to buy filters that caught my attention, it's the fact that it supposedly filters better than paper.

I remember seeing something like this in a car magazine or on one of those saturday morning car shows a long time ago and after they ran this filter in the engine they did an oil change and got quite a bit of tiny paper particles that was from the normal style filters that were used before putting the fancy shmancy filter on. Whether or not it really was paper from the old filters I have no idea, but it seemed to work.

I'll stick with my wix filters (stay away from fram! their expensive ones are ok, but treat the cheap orange ones like the plague)

I'm with you on this one. His little blowing test is about useless. Sure, oil doesn't run through dry paper, but once it is soaked in oil, it will flow through. That's why it's a good idea to soak ur filter before you install it...... I would never buy one simply because he uses lies to sell his product.
